I was born in the city of Salisbury in Wiltshire, England. From an early age, art and drawing had always been very interesting for me and allowed me express the way I felt about the world.
In my teens I began to show an interest in painting and began learning and self teaching the skills and techniques needed to produce paintings. Through the early years of success and failure, I managed to reach the standard of portfolio I have today. I have worked in all mediums, but found early on that watercolours were the most expressive medium for me, and so majority of my work is centered around it.
In 2003 I held my first solo exhibition titled " The Inspirational world " in the Portico Gallery in Salisbury. This was a crucial stepping stone for me and confirmed my desire to share my passion for painting and drawing with the wider audience. Later that year I relocated to Torquay, where I still live and work today.
I have continued to exhibit and have produced several commissioned pieces for both private and business clients. My illustrative work has been published in two educational books through a Devon university, which where great fun to produce and offered another angle to my work that I enjoyed very much. I am planning future exhibitions and am constantly working on new collections. I also enjoy commissioned work and the exciting and varied challenges they bring in their own right.
By sharing my art, I hope to evoke real emotion for the audience and offer a real sense of passion through the work I produce. Above all to let others enjoy art as much as I enjoy making it.
