i came to art late in life, one of those people who doodled in the margins at school but nothing more. Once I'd found an evening class that taught 'proper' things like perspective, I began to at least understand why my drawings never looked right. I started watercolour painting in 2010, oils in 2014, and attend a Life Drawing class which is a brilliant foundation for just about everything. I'm inspired by Ivon Hitchens, David Park, and contemporary artists Roos Schuring, Jennifer McChristian, Julian Merrow-Smith, Haidee-Jo Summers and some fantastic artists on Instagram. Plein air oil painting is my favourite thing, health issues permitting, and painting with less detail, that's my ongoing goal.
