About Shade

Sunday Drawing Class -8 Today is Sunday, the eighth day of our drawing class. Welcome to everyone. From the first day I'am repeating that early draft or sketch should be created with light hand pressure. To do that, we need to learn a proper way to hold the pencil. Hold at least one plus inch away from the tip. It has three benefits. 1.During drawing, it will reduce the pressure. 2. It makes your hand and finger movement more flexible. 3.You can see what you are creating. From Today for a next few coming weeks, we will discuss about 'Shade' and 'Shadow'. In narrow sense, we use both the words interchangeably. To understand the difference, please follow the class carefully. Two-dimensional line drawings are transformed properly into a three-dimensional form with Shade and Shadow. Shadow or shade simply cannot do this alone. Generally we do Pencil shading and shadow in three ways: 1.Normal Shade 2.With different kinds of lines or cross-hatching 3.Decorative or ornamental What kind of style is needed is simply the artist's own choice. Now do simple practices with this thought of 'shades and shadows'. I'll be back next week with one more thought. https://www.youtube.com/attribution_link?a=BnHG4ESqYZo&u=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DG1gE7Std8kI%26feature%3Dshare%26list%3DPL2WIyu7k2pJp7bno6wAR9ugR4ZSsYERQH%26index%3D8
