The Wellington Academy is a brand new venue for arts, crafts, beauty and D.I.Y courses, set in beautiful Wiltshire.
State of the art facilities include the option to stay in the comfortable boarding house, with en-suite rooms. There are eight courses on offer suitable for most abilities: Silver Jewellery, Mosaics, Tapestry Weaving, Creative Writing, Silk painting on textiles, Acrylic Painting, Beauty Therapy and D.I.Y.
All tutors have been selected for their expertise and teaching experience.

Silver Jewellery: £330 No previous experience is necessary as a variety of techniques and processes will be covered. You will grow your knowledge of certain processes but the emphasis is always on your own interpretations. You will take home 4-5 pieces ( there may be a small charge for materials). Mosaics: Design and Construction £330 You will learn the basic techniques behind this practical and fascinating craft, above all it will be fun. Tapestry Weaving; £330 Learn how to put a warp on a frame look and produce a sampler using traditional and 3D techniques. Explore colour, design and texture. Introduction to creative writing £330 Explore fiction and non-fiction, develop creative flair and skills. Acrylics Painting £330 Learn all the different processes and techniques and have fun with layering paints and experimenting! Silk Painting on Textiles £210 (3 day course) suitable for all levels, this hugely enjoyable craft will help you develop your own project.
The summer school will take place during the week of Monday 20th August to Friday 24th August. There is the option to settle in a day early with an additional dinner and overnight stay on Sunday 19th August. The courses are offered on a residential or non-residential basis and are open to students with a minimum age of 18.
