As a recent subscriber I'm really enjoying my subscription to Leisure Painter. I'm a bit confused by the option to download the magazine. It appears I have to pay for the digital version, so in essence I'd be paying twice for the same issue. Isn't the download free for subscribers?

My feelings exactly. I fancied the thought of a back-up copy, easier to search, not one I'd like to read (on a screen), and easier to print papges than scanning and printing, but not to be. Ah well, some will like it, so why stand in their way. Brian

I have subscribed to The Artist for several years, and would welcome a free digital copy as well. My Gardeners World magazine subscription allows me a free digital copy but perhaps the circulation of the magazine is larger. I really do enjoy reading magazines on my iPad.
