Lovely work, the peeling paint is so well done.

You see a piece of work in the gallery that really stands out. This is one of them. It's a lovely subject, very textrual, as my grandaughter would say, and the touches of reds & yellows give what could be a study in cold blues just the necessary warmth. P.S.: 23x18 cms isn't THAT small, if that's the unframed size.

Nice work Avril. A couple of years ago I went to Skegness / Ingolmells, hoping to find lots of ageing seaside huts, peeling paint, and fading circus posters. All I found was pvc, and souvenir plates with Elvis on them. Very sad.

I have lots of photos of weathered architectural details taken in southern France - this painting has inspired me to tackle the subject, I like the composition here. Well done.

Agree with all the above comments - a beautiful watercolour - I almost feel I can touch it! Quite brilliant. Thank you so much for your lovely comment about Beanie & Misty!
