Ducks

This is excellent, Emma. Lovely to see the Eider duck in there, it has a wonderful vocal sound. The first time I saw them in the flesh/feathers was at Slimbridge while attending a nature walk, a marvellous day.

What patience , and beautifully done.

Love it Emma!

A terrific study must have taken hours and hours!

This is really good Emma. So much detail and so small too, lovely painting.

Very very good duck collection ! Have seen some "super" ducks at Grange over Sands gardens and ornamental lake. Well painted.

Nicely done Emma.

Thank you everyone!

A real challenge, this one, Emma. I would be happy to paint a single duck, never mind a whole collection.

Thank you Frank.

I go down to see the ducks nearly every day, I love watching them, and you have captured their colours and character so well.

Thank you Hilary.

Did myself a reference guide for the ducks that can be seen in the UK at this time of year - they’re beautiful in their breeding plumage. Not really a proper picture - I’ve added the text on the computer as my handwriting’s terrible - but someone on here may find it useful, I know lots of you like wildlife. Watercolour and ink on HP paper, 11 x 15".
