The way you’ve used colour is great. The dark background, as if in the mine is so dramatic against their workwear and headlamps. A super painting.

Oil on canvas, approx 30x14 inches. I just wanted to show the end of coal mining in Wales and the miners leaving the pit for the last time, never to return. This is a large(ish) oil version of a theme I painted in watercolour a few months ago. Apologies for the poor photography (phone pic in available light) .
