Beautiful light that you have captured Marjorie, it’s a superb painting.

Oh that’s so lovely

A very good half hour on an oldie!

It's an excellent finish.

Fabulous sky and reflections.

Beautiful coastal scene Marjorie, looks amazing with the sunlight.

Eye–catching – like the glow.

Nicely done Marjorie ☺️

An absolute stunning seascape Marjorie… such a different palette which works so well here!

Thanks for all the comments - I remember it was quite a grey day but the sun behind the clouds was quite dazzling on the water.

A good one, Marjorie

Love the moody limited palette and the dazzling water. Good one!

A nice sparkle to the water, and you have managed to make the distant background interesting.

That’s beautiful Marjorie.

Absolutely lovely light, a beautiful painting

Thanks so much Thalia, Martin, Trevor, Spencer, Emma and Gary. I do appreciate your comments very much.

You have captured the mood so beautifully Marjorie. Such a nostalgic painting for me as I remember those days when Amble was so dirty and busy at the harbour.

How places change Carole - not always for the best, pros and cons, but we can’t go back.

Beautiful light and great sense of distance.

This is gorgeous Marjorie - sorry for late comment- have only just seen it!

That's a coincidence! I've just seen a photo on Facebook of these, with Warkworth Castle in the distance. Taken by a friend who's up there today and posted about an hour ago. I commented that the photo, combined with some of my own, might be a painting reference. Not much plein air happening at the moment!

Roger, mine is looking towards Amble from beside the North Pier.

Missed this one, Marjorie - it is fab!!

These were the staithes where coal was unloaded on the Northumberland coast. Now just something interesting to look at but a record of Amble’s history. i’ve just spent an enjoyable half hour slapping more paint on to this old painting.
