Lovely Diana- the beautiful light and colours through the glass of the bottles. Knew it was yours straight away

Excellent Diana. I had to smile..I was trying to work out what the perfume was…when I was about 13, my “ perfume” was Avon Apple Blossom - sophisticated or what? You, on the other hand, well, this looks like real perfume! I also place objects, waiting for the light to catch them.

Marjorie, I had the calafornia poppy, Charlie etc. this was vent vert by Balmain. A Christmas present. I can still smell it though very old !!!!

Beautifully painted, Diana!

So cleverly captured Diana.

Excellent painting Diana.

Amazing work as always 🥰

How lovely to paint a gift of perfume and you captured the light well in the bottles and that blue reflection communicates how the sun was reflecting , nice painting Diana!

It was definitely worth the wait - this is wonderful and I've missed seeing your paintings.

Thank you Christine. I do keep coming back to glass !! Thank you Anne. I enjoyed keeping this one light and delicate. Thanks Tessa. I thought this was half complete but I’m leaving it here. Thanks Stephen. I haven’t painted many recently but enjoying the bits I manage.

Thank you Faye . I appreciate your interest Thank you Angela. Yes, that bottle and the smell is very evocative That’s a lovely thing to say Heather. I had a big birthday recently and have lots of art materials vouchers to spend so need to get cracking!!

Beautifully painted. How wonderful that you still have it...a nice memento.

Always good to see your quality work

Your style is instantly recognisable, and your ability with watercolour is just ... wow!

Great perfume bottles Diana. Love the colours.

Beautifully painted Diana.

Love your mastery of glass, light, reflections & watercolour Diana. Brilliant. Had you'd left one of the caps off I might have been able to exercise my my olfactory senses, I'm trying hard but getting nothing.

You paint glass so beautifully, I am very envious of your talent.

You ae definitely the queen of glass Diana. So good to see you back painting.

Delightful light!

Absolutely beautiful watercolor !!! I'm very impressed with your talent. Your paintings always amaze me.

Thank you Lewis. Smell is so evocative. Instantly transformed to a place and time. Thanks Martin. The perfume translates to green rain which really suited the scent. Thank you Bobbie. I’m so grateful to have such a passion. It’s such a calming activity.

Thank you David. There could definitely be more intensity of colour in places but I’m trying not to over paint my subjects which I’m a devil for. Thanks so much for looking Denise. Much appreciated. Thank you John. I’m so pleased that you like it. I’m rather pleased with the subtlety of this one. Many thanks David. Always good to hear from you. Brian , I have a feeling you’d be smelling something similar to cat pee !! It’s very old 😂

Valerie , that’s such a lovely compliment. Thank you. I do keep coming back to the subject Jim. Thank you.

Thank you Linda. It was quite a watery light so needed to be kept subtle. Thank you Thalia. I liked the limited palette in this set.

Thank you Lea. I really admire your skill with oils too

Lovely, great subject, Diana

Thank you Maureen It’s full of memories. I might frame it for a bedroom wall

This is beautifully painted Diana. The light, colours and transparency of the glass is captured so well. The shadows are also super.

Thank you Spencer. I have a tendency to be a bit heavy handed with shadow values

FAB - U - LUS Diana!.........as always!

Thank you Jennifer. Thanks so Much for looking at some older work. That brought back some memories. I’m out of the loop at the moment and not painting much due to health reasons but I’m sure it will be just a temporary blip 👍

Watercolour on heavy paper. Output is slow at the moment but I placed these bottles on my windowsill and waited for the sun to shine through them. And waited , and waited!!!
