Kris Mercer

Biography

In my early 30's I took the decision to leave work and study for a 2 year BTEC course in Art and Design at Mansfield College of Art. Despite excelling on the course, I opted not to pursue formal education, preferring to forge my own path. I moved to Cyprus. Returning to the UK with mental health challenges, including a diagnosis of Bipolar disorder. I have continued to work in the confines of my attic studio. My dedication has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Clairefontaine award and The Artist exhibition award. Today, my paintings grace walls in homes and offices not only across the UK but also internationally, reaching admirers in the United States, Europe, and Australia.
